The Map Device is an item that is the main way to progress through Path of Terraria. It allows you to travel to other “domains", and kill that domain's specific boss.
This item is given to you upon completing the first step of Garrick's quest, Kill the King, which requires the player to bring 5 Iron/Lead Bars, 5 Gold/Platinum Bars, and 1 Ruby to him.
The item can also be crafted, and has the below recipe.
- 5 Iron/Lead Bars
- 5 Gold/Platinum Bars
- 1 Ruby
